The football game was the first time played by Rutgers and Princeton on November 6, 1869. A year ago, in England, where they decide to play a game in which people have to run and kick the ball but later the Chinese called it “Football” and to date, it is famous by this name. 

England and Football in Past Years:

The most confessed anecdote tells that the game was developed in England in the 12th century in which football was played on meadows and the road of England. This game did not just involve the kicking but also punches from the fist. This way of playing was rough and violent then nowadays. 

 

For a long time, it was hard to distinguish the rugby and football. There were also many disparities regarding the size of the ball, the number of players and the length of a match. At the start, up to 30,000 would see big matches in the late 19th century. But afterward, the interest becomes big in South America and India.

Each club has its own name and ranking. The rules of every club are almost different.  Football is the most popular sport in England since the 1860s. If we talk about football clubs in England then on average 15 clubs per division involves more than 7,000 teams of almost 5,300 clubs are members of the league in the English men’s football league system. 

 

Staveley Miners Welfare Football Club was established by Sunday League Team in 1962. This club has played friendly matches for three years before joining the Mansfield League. The records of this club in the FA Cup were “Second Qualifying Round 2005 -06, 2011–12, 2018-19” and in FA Vase was “Semi-finals 2011–12”.

 

English Football League system:

The English football league system is a sequence of interconnected leagues for men’s association football clubs in England. This league system is also known as the football pyramid of interconnected leagues for club football in England.

It includes hundreds of interlinked leagues, consisting of thousands of divisions. The Premier League is at the top hit, which is followed by The conference then the soccer Conference, wherever the structure starts to become regional and includes the Northern Premier League, the Southern League, the solid ground League and plenty more besides. 

The English Football League (EFL) is divided into three divisions of 24 clubs each. About 72 clubs in the English Football League and 20 clubs in the Premier League are all full-time professional clubs.

Football isn’t a game of sitting idle or playing alone, it is an outdoor game and needs a specific place to play. For this reason, there are many stadiums in which football is played. Wembley Stadium, Old Trafford Stadium, Principality Stadium, Celtic Park Stadium, etc. are some well-known stadiums in England specifically for football. 

Wembley Stadium:

Wembley Stadium was built in 2002-2007 in London which has a capacity of 90,000 people to sit and enjoy the game. Chelsea v Man United on 19 May 2007 was held in Wembley Stadium.

The total build cost for Wembley Stadium was  £974,000,000. Originally it was demolished in 2003, but the current version of the stadium was opened for public in 2007. Wembley was designed by HOK Sport and Fosters and Partners.

Old Trafford:

Old Trafford was built in 1909-1910 in Manchester which has 75,635 seats for people. Moreover Wolves v Grimsby on 25 March 1939 was held in Old Trafford. Old Trafford is a famous stadium in all over the world. This stadium also has a museum and offers tours.

Principality Stadium:

Principality Stadium is in Cardiff, built-in 1997-1999 and holds the capacity of 74,500 people. Event Wales v Italy on 16 October 2002 was held in Principality Stadium of Cardiff. It is also named as the Millennium Stadium. Nowadays it is famous for rugby matches. Its total build cost is £121,000,000.

Celtic Park:

Glasgow has a stadium called Celtic Park which was built in 1892 and can hold the capacity of 60,411 people. Celtic v Rangers event was held on 01 January 1938 in Celtic Park. Celtic Park was built because of Celtic Football Club which was formed in 1887, they need a place to play games for which they opened a stadium in the East End of Glasgow.

The Emirates:

The Emirates is one of the most famous stadiums in England which was built in 2004-2006 and holds the capacity of 60,260 people. The other name for this stadium is the Arsenal stadium. Arsenal clubs were first who join the football league from the South of England.

Olympic stadium:

London Olympics 2012 was held in the Olympic stadium of London which was built in 2007-2011 and hold the capacity of 60,000 people. Moreover, from 2013-2016 some renovations were done in the stadium for British Athletics 

Moreover, The Etihad stadium of Manchester, Anfield Stadium of Liverpool, St. James Park of Newcastle and Hampden Park of Glasgow are also some famous stadiums in England for football.
