The raising of sponsorship is simply vital to the existence of any non-league football club. Around 50% of our in-flow of cash is from gate receipts, shop, café and bar. The other 50% is secured by sponsorship which without the club would continue to trade but not as it does in it’s current business model.

The 50% sponsorship is made up roughly of half from our Chairman’s Company HKL Specialists Ltd and half from other sponsors and fund raising “OSAFR” through various initiatives. The fund raising is done by a bunch of Trojans without whose efforts we would be severely hindered. The 25% of our revenue from “OSAFR” is arguably the more difficult, the more time consuming, the more painstakingly slow burning process often with denominations of £1 making the fund raising collections from multiple donations. Arguably it is more important in one sense than the large single sponsorship deals. The OSAFR touches hundreds of people, it is a marketing initiative in it’s own right, inviting individuals to contribute and get to know our club whilst chucking the odd quid in here and there.

The 100% of funds raised through other OSAFR will be expended on the clubs development and upgrade of facilities at the ground and where possible down on Chantry. It is “off the pitch” and where our supporters and the public can enjoy the facilities where this cash will go.

We have a list of “we’d like to build” items including in no particular order :-

  1. New external toilet facilities including disabled facilities.
  2. Disabled and elderly stand with added protection from the weather.
  3. Changing room extension with washing facilities for the clubs kits
  4. Restaurant / club house extension where families can enjoy meals and enjoy a real warm cosy environment with quality food and drink.
  5. New south stand – the last project !

We have a small number of people who put their 110% commitment in to the club so that so many people can enjoy the local community and recreational facilities here. We are looking to further our committee and sponsorships and seek enquiries from local corporate entities and/or people who may wish to join our team. Those who can bring added value in terms of the ability to bring sponsorship and/or a person/s wishing to drive the football club along with the Chairman and his colleagues who have all committed long term goals here should seriously consider coming along to have an initial chat with us.

With teams from 6 to 18 to 19 to the first team and a ladies team we are a genuine community and recreational club wishing to help the local families and people. We do hope there are companies/people out there who can add to this football club’s attempts to provide for the people of Staveley a thriving football club along with a thriving clubhouse and first class facilities and an environment that suits the “family and kids.” One thing is for sure, you’ll have a great time and enjoyment is simply a given here.
